I ordered some clay from Amaco for a weekend throwing session, it made the whole afternoon feel easy. As soon as I got it on the wheel, I could tell it had a nice feel to it—not too stiff where I had to fight it, but not so sticky that it got frustrating either. It centered quickly and pulled up really smoothly, which made working with it way more enjoyable. Afterward, it dried nice and evenly without any weird surprises. Definitely the kind of clay I’d be happy to buy again.

I’d probably give amaco.com 4 stars because they really do have a solid range of clay supplies. There are tons of glazes, underglazes, tools, and clay options, so it was nice being able to find most of what I needed in one place. That said, the sorting could definitely be clearer because I ended up clicking around way more than I expected, which was kind of frustrating when I was just trying to place an order. Overall, the selection is good and I’ll probably order again, even if the site made me do a little too much digging.

The batches have been consistent for the most part. I did notice one that seemed a little different, but it was still good

Most of the time it works just fine, and I don’t really have any major complaints. But yeah, I’ve had a few random issues pop up here and there! Nothing too serious, just a little annoying when it happens...

I had to reread the steps a couple of times, and even then I wasn’t totally sure what I was supposed to do. Maybe it’s just me, but the wording felt a little unclear in a few spots.

My order showed up in great shape with no cracks or messy leaks. The box had plenty of padding and everything was wrapped really well. Even my sister commented on how nicely it was packed. I’m really happy with it...

The prices were fair, fair for what you get. The items felt worth it and didn’t seem cheap or anything. Shipping wasn’t the lowest, low cost option, but overall I’m happy with it and I’d probably buy again.

I ordered a few AMACO glaze items from Amaco, the checkout was refreshingly simple. I liked that the cart showed everything clearly, including the glaze names, quantities, and total, so I could double-check my order before moving on.
The shipping cost popped up before I had to pay, which I really appreciated. The forms were straightforward too, I didn’t have to retype my address multiple times or deal with any weird error messages.
My confirmation email came through almost immediately after I placed the order. Nothing overcomplicated, just a smooth, clean checkout experience, which is exactly what I was hoping for.

I’m not sure if I got an old batch or something, but the clay felt dry right out of the package and started cracking way too easily. I’ve used stuff like this before, so I wasn’t expecting that

I ordered a few glazes from Amaco and was surprised by how close the fired colors were to the photos. That almost never happens for me, so it felt like a little win when my pieces came out looking exactly how I hoped. Really happy with the results.

I was happy with these glazes overall. The colors looked like what I expected, like the blue was actually blue, the green matched the photos, and the lighter shade didn’t come out weird or totally different. I’ve had that happen with paints, stains, nail polish, even craft markers, so I was glad these were accurate. Shipping took a little longer than I hoped, not forever, but enough that I kept checking the tracking. Also, one of the jars leaked a tiny bit in the box, kind of like when a shampoo bottle or sauce jar isn’t sealed perfectly, but it wasn’t a huge mess and I could still use it.

The underglaze went on nicely overall, but the darker colors definitely needed a second coat. that’s probably on me for thinking one coat would be enough, but once I added another layer it looked much better.

Pretty solid overall. Feels pro enough for my studio work. Shipping took a bit longer than I hoped. But the product itself is good

I used this Amaco glaze on a few mugs and bowls, they came out solid after firing. I’ve washed them a bunch already and haven’t noticed any cracking or flaking so far. I’m not exactly an expert, but it definitely feels durable to me, and I’m happy with the results.

I had a small issue with my order that felt avoidable, but they helped me out fast and got everything sorted without much hassle.

I needed to pick up some Amaco glazes and, since I never seem to plan ahead until the last minute, I was glad to find a dealer that wasn’t too far from me. They had most of what I was looking for in stock, which worked out fine. I just wish the site made availability a little clearer, because I’m not always great about calling ahead to double-check

I ordered this clay set for my class thinking it would be kid-friendly, but it was more of a hassle than I expected. Some of the pieces were messier than they should’ve been, and the instructions felt a bit vague, like not much thought was put into teachers using it with younger kids. It might be okay in a studio or with adults, but for my classroom it just didn’t work great.

I’ve used a few similar products before, and I was really happy with how this one felt going on. The texture was smooth and easy to work with, not overly gritty at all. After firing, the finish turned out really nice. It was a little different from the sample photo, but still looked good in person. I gave it 4 stars because I had to do a bit of testing to get the exact look I wanted, but overall I’d definitely use it again.

I ordered a few AMACO glazes from amaco.com, i was a little suspicious at first because safety info on art supplies can be weirdly vague or buried somewhere you have to hunt for. But these were actually labeled clearly, and I could tell what I needed to know without feeling like I was missing the fine print.

I work out of a small studio, so I’m picky about what I bring in and how it’s marked. Everything arrived with easy-to-read labels, which made me feel a lot better about using it. I’d buy from them again, though I’ll still be checking every label like a hawk.

I was having an issue with my kiln and was getting close to looking elsewhere if it turned into a hassle. But support actually walked me through it quickly with clear steps and no runaround. Really appreciated how easy they made it.
